SleepBreeze Ltd. are pleased to announce collaboration with the design team behind the Hexayurt - the "autonomous building" refugee shelter system
Experience in field assessments of Hexayurt shelters has shown that some form of cooling system is needed. Power budgets are extremely limited so teaming with microclimate technologists, SleepBreeze Ltd., was deemed highly desirable.
Commenting on the technological approach adopted by SleepBreeze Ltd, Vinay Gupta, Chief Technologist for the Hexayurt project, stressed "SleepBreeze has designed a range of low-power cooling options that are probably as good as current materials technology and physics allows."
Managing Director of SleepBreeze Ltd., Andy Buxton, responded "We are proud to be associated with the Hexayurt shelter system which we believe delivers a practical solution to this most taxing of problems."
He continued "Alongside food and potable water, habitable accommodation is probably one of the highest priorities for refugees following a disaster. We are pleased to offer our expertise to aid the development of the Hexayurt system."
