Tips for Parents

The drawsting on the pouch is ldeal to suspend the Sleepbreeze over the corner of the door in our 14-month old son's bedroom. Well out of range of the inquisitive little man. Bless him.

For older children who are in their first bed the power cord can be tucked between the mattress and bed frame - well out of their way.

For added security it can be tie-wrapped to the bed frame.

Parents may want to use a tie wrap to secure and tidy the power cable

The photo (left) shows the Sleepbreeze power cord on top of the bedding and is meant for illustration only.

If you plan to use the battery accessory to power the Sleepbreeze and want it out of the way, then consider using a strip of self adhesive Velcro to attach it to the bed frame.

The later stage of pregnancy is notorious among mothers-to-be for problems with overheating and sleep loss. Overheating can be exacerbated if the later stages of pregnancy coincides with the summer months, making life miserable. Sleep at night can also be disturbed if you cannot cool down enough. Not surprisingly, most mums-to-be wish that their due date was just that bit closer. Thanks to Sleepbreeze help is at hand.

The Sleepbreeze personal cooler is a practical cooling product designed to help you rest and sleep and is ideal for mothers-to-be during pregnancy. It does this by helping promote heat loss from your body when you are resting in bed, on the sofa or, perhaps, on a deckchair out in a shaded part of the garden.

Thinking ahead to when you go into hospital you may want to ask your midwife if the hospital has fans for each of the beds. Not all hospitals do. A cooling product that can help counteract the exertion and exhaustion of the labouring may be worth every penny. So, think about including a Sleepbreeze when packing your maternity bag. And make a note about it when writing your birthing plan.

Moving on, you may have read recent research about how a condition known as "Sudden Infant Death Syndrome" may be reduced significantly- more than 70% - by placing a fan in baby's room. We do not want to scare you - SIDS is very rare.

However, if your Sleepbreeze personal cooler is valuable when you are pregnant, when you are labouring, and can be used in the nursery and later on in a child's life, maybe that's the kind of value for money that we all appreciate.

Tip: Ask your local maternity unit about the proceedure for taking electronic products into hospital with you.
