Welcome to the Sleepbreeze website and secure onine shop

For those who suffer from eczema or prurigo there is often a nightly battle to defeat the itch-scratch-infect cycle. It starts with an itch, which you're compelled to scratch. Not surprisingly the scratch gets infected and this leads to a still stronger desire to scratch. And so the cycle continues, albeit with time off work to get see your doctor and get treatment for the infection.

Changes in room temperature, either through central heating coming on in the autumn, or when the weather gets warmer in spring and summer are known triggers that cause skin irritation.

One of the tragedies facing eczema and prurigo sufferers is that if they could get into a deep enough sleep quickly enough then the desire to service the itch through scratching would not be the problem that it is.

A lesser known fact is that our body temperature needs to fall slightly to allow us to sleep in the first place. The sooner this drop in temperature occurs, the sooner we sleep and the better the quality of sleep.

We've taken all of the conventional advice on skin cooling for eczema management and the body temperature change that is needed for rapid sleep onset and brought them together in one handy product - the Sleepbreeze personal cooler.

As heat is removed from the skin surface (or from the bandages on your arms and legs) your body temperature falls and, all things being equal, you'll fall asleep more easily. The Sleepbreeze fits either on or under your duvet. For speedier cooling some people fold their duvets back to allow the air to circulate more freely whilst they use the Sleepbreeze.
