Chilling out in Melbourne - literally!
So, with temperatures in Melbourne in the high twenties-thirties, and night time temperatures in the uncomfortable high-teens / low twenties, it's handy that our roving tester has turned up in town with her prototype Sleepbreeze cooler.
Testing had been on hold during Nicki's time in Nepal as a gadget to help cool you at night is the last thing you need in the Himalayas!
Apart from the weather it sounds like life in Melbourne is pretty pleasant, with an exhausting schedule of sightseeing and barbecues. According to Nicki a good night's sleep was needed. Some chance "with the bedroom boiling hot and stuffy - temperatures up around 40 celsius (100 oF)."

At last Nicki had her chance to test the cooler. Here's her report:
"The news is that it was a resounding success! I cooled down fully in about 10 minutes and then even wanted to get under the covers - something I wouldn't even have thought about doing when I first went into the room.I tried it out in a small double bedroom with one window, which I kept closed for the test (not that it was generating any airflow anyway).
I plan to use it again tonight, as it really did work and cooled me down last night.
I was impressed with the product it cooled me down and I fell asleep quickly.
I was really happy to finally use your product 'in situ' when I really needed it, and to find it worked like a dream!
So yey! Go Sleepbreeze!!"
Well, thanks, Nicki for the feedback. Not sure how popular you'll be with the people of Melbourne if you ask for a blanket to keep warm at night just now.
It's feedback like this that keeps us hard at work getting the product ready for general sale in the near future. And with that in mind I best get back to work!
And, Nicki, enjoy your time in Australia. ![]()

Comments
Nicki, thanks for your additional comments by email.
Sorry to hear that it is now even hotter in Melbourne and that you've been using the Sleepbreeze cooler all day long at your friend's home.
Sure, you can sling it on the sofa when you watch TV! It's not just for when you need to sleep, but anytime you're sitting around the home or the office.
What are your friends going to do for cooling when you leave?!
All the best, Andy
