"Fits easily into your backpack. Earns it's keep night after night."

If you are planning on joining the many backpackers staying in a backpackers hostel in say, Thailand, Asia, or any other hot country around the world, then Sleepbreeze is a great piece of backpacking gear to have with you. Sleepbreeze will keep you cool on hot nights, help you sleep in less luxurious hostels, and make a stiffling backpackers tent a lot more comfortable.

Sleepbreeze packs into a handy storage pouch

Sleepbreeze is small enough to fit into your backpack

The storage pouch opens up to reveal a 1 metre long duct

Backpackers hostels tend to come with a variety of services and prices. Backpackers hostels offering air conditioning are the most pricey. Those offering a room fan, slightly cheaper. Then at the bottom of the pile you get to "sleep" in a room where the air is still, humid and uncomfortable. But at least you are saving money.

Of course you should also bear in mind that the local electricity supply may be temperamental. So, the air conditioning or ceiling fan may be rationed to a few hours per day. Not luxurious, but at least you'll have a tale to tell when you get home. Or you could read on....

Thanks to Sleepbreeze we can now offer you a piece of backpack gear that provides a practical cooling solution which gets you cool when you want to sleep. For backpackers that means you can make savings on accommodation and stretch your travel budget.

Fact: As a backpacker one of the biggest costs you face is accommodation. Hostels with air conditioning or just ceiling fans cost a lot more.

Don't pay for a fan at every hostel you stay at. Simply take your Sleepbreeze and save money each night of your trip.

No doubt one of the reasons you are visiting your far flung destination is the very fact that it is exotic. That also means that the country's infrastructure will be less reliable than you are used to. A classic example is that the mains electricity supply will be available at specific times, leaving you in the dark and with the ceiling fan or air conditioning not working. Your Sleepbreeze can be powered by battery for a number of hours, keeping you cool when less experienced travellers are left to boil.

Fact: Electricity supply to basic hostels can be rationed to certain times of day. So, room fans and air conditioning aren't reliable.

With our battery option there's no need to rely on local electricity supplies that will let you down. You'll still keep cool in a power cut.

If your destination requires you to use a mosquito net then be aware that these nets keep bugs out and heat in. Room fans often blow the mosquito net around and leave you to spend the night tucking the net back under the mattress. Placing your Sleepbreeze inside the net gives you the local air movement that will help you lose body heat, will promote air exchange with the room outside, but without the hassle of a flapping mosquito net.

Fact: Mosquito nets keep bugs out but keep heat in. Room fans don’t help, they just blow air at the net, not through it and leave you to spend the night tucking the net under the mattress.

Place the Sleepbreeze within your mosquito net and stay cool through the night.

Citronella sprays and candles are a favourite of backpackers as a deterrent to mosquitoes. What mosquitos really dislike is air movement. Just as airline pilots stuggle to land in a crosswind, so do mosquitoes.

Fact: What mosquitoes really hate is air movement. They really stuggle to land on your skin.

If a mosquito ever did get through your net? Well, watch it just try and land on you in a cross wind!

Of course we hadn't forgotten that your trip is most probably meant to be a holiday. So, maybe that means late nights and the need to sleep late in the morning. Sadly, with dawn comes a rapid rise in the internal temperature of canvas tents, ruling sleep out. Your Sleepbreeze is well able to ventilate such tents and hold the internal temperature of a small backpacker's tent down, giving you longer to rest and sleep come dawn.

Fact: When dawn comes tents rapidly heat up, becoming uninhabitable. Backpacker-type tents are the worst for this.

Backpackers' tents can be ventilated with the low-energy Sleepbreeze, keeps your tent habitable if you fancy a lie in!
