Frontline cooling for the warfighter |

| Home | About us | Testimonials |Sleepbreeze Ltd. supplies a practical military personal cooling product, "The Sleepbreeze", for use by troops / warfighters serving in hot climates, such as Afghanistan.Key benefits:
The military version of the Sleepbreeze is designed as a sleep aid for soldiers serving at FOBs or Patrol Bases, where traditional cooling infrastructure (air conditioning) is unavailable. Good quality sleep is essential for optimal military performance. The Sleepbreeze helps troops cool down sufficiently to get to sleep; in turn this helps reduce error rates and maximize warfighter performance. During the summer months it is too hot to sleep in hardened, over-heated accommodation. Likewise it is too dangerous to sleep outside in the relative cool. Sleepbreeze is here to help, bringing a cooling breeze to your "bedside" - quite literally. Based on our original and highly successful product, the military version of the Sleepbreeze is more powerful and more compact. Hence, it is able to cope with harsh climates and fits even more easily into your kit bag. The Sleepbreeze works by evaporating sweat from your skin surface. So, provided you are drinking water (which you DO anyway) the Sleepbreeze will work. The design of the Sleepbreeze is both rugged and simple, incoporating the best in ergonomic design. We currently expend enormous resources hauling fuel up to the frontline. Sleepbreeze helps reduce fuel usage at Main Camps & FOBs by providing an energy efficienct cooling system. Where there is no air conditioning, however, we help improve the sleeping accommodation for soldiers using minimal fuel consumption and we do this with an affordable bit of kit. Frequently asked questions: Dust: Does dust impair the performance or durability of a Sleepbreeze? No, we did tests in the Nevada desert where the Sleepbreeze got coated in a layer of fine dust. There was no degradation in performance nor obvious wear and tear. Noise: Will it be noisy and keep me awake? No, Sleepbreeze users say that noise levels are deemed "low". Power: How is the Sleepbreeze powered? Mains power using field generators. (110/240 switchable voltage). We provide a power adaptor. Battery power, for example AA batteries or personal radio batteries as used by US troops. Rechargeable batteries are acceptable. How much cooling and for how long? Most users require only short periods of cooling (15-30 minutes) to get to sleep, allowing batteries to "last" several nights before re-charge or a battery swap is necessary. Battery duration is between 4 & 10 hours on continuous use depending on fan speed and battery type.
